This article provides a concise overview of the necessary steps for tutors rejoining Step Up Tutoring. 

What's New with Step Up Tutoring? 

Step Up Tutoring has undergone several significant changes; below is an overview of these adjustments:

1. We have launched the Tutor Sidekick tool which is replacing the old Session Guide. 
2. Math: 
   1. We are transitioning from Eedi to our own math curriculum, which is available on the Sidekick. 
   2. We have created our own diagnostic will be taken during the First Session with a student and in fall, winter, and spring. 
3. Reading: 
   1. Reading students will continue to use UFLI and Readworks. If students are using UFLI, we also encourage one day of Readworks to practice reading comprehension with grade-level texts. 
   2. Tutors using Readworks should follow the Read-Stop-Write strategy on the Sidekick.
   3. You can now generate custom reading and writing activities for students.

What do I need to do as a Returning Tutor?

We are happy to hear that you would like to return to tutor with us! Please review the Sidekick training materials and submit the knowledge check to receive credit:

Please follow these steps to submit your exit ticket:

1. Log in to your Tutor Portal using your Step Up email
2. Click "Sidekick Training Knowledge Check” on the left menu
3. Enter code: sidekick training 2026

4. Complete and submit the form
