Step Up Tutoring has partnered with Arizona State University (ASU) to offer a High-Impact Tutoring Micro-Credential for tutors who want to demonstrate their skills and dedication to student learning. This credential helps recognize your commitment and growth as an educator—and it's a great addition to your resume or LinkedIn profile!
What Is the ASU Micro-Credential?
This credential certifies your experience and skillset in high-impact tutoring. By completing a short portfolio and submitting your work, you'll have the opportunity to earn an official ASU badge and certificate—verifying your expertise in personalized instruction and student support.
Enrollment Process
Enrollment: Step Up + ASU will enroll you in the micro-credential program.
Preview Requirements: Review all submission and evaluation criteria in advance.
Choose a Submission Week: Select a week to submit your portfolio (optional but encouraged for timely support).
Portfolio Tasks
To earn your credential, you will complete the following three tasks on the ASU Community Educator Learning Hub:
Task 1: Share an overview of your tutoring experience and the students you’ve worked with.
Task 2: Provide examples of your instructional strategies and explain how they impacted student learning.
Task 3: Reflect on your tutoring journey and what you’ve learned through the process of earning this credential.
Review and Assessment
An assessor will review your submission within 1–2 weeks.
If your portfolio does not meet all criteria, you will receive feedback and one opportunity to revise and resubmit your work.
What You’ll Earn
Once approved, you’ll receive:
A digital micro-credential badge via email
A personalized certificate in the ASU Learning Hub
A credential you can proudly display on your resume or LinkedIn profile
